About Phan Thiet
The city of Phan Thiet is just west of Mui Ne. It’s a bustling community of 100,000 inhabitants. Fishing is Phan Thiet’s main industry, as evidenced by the fleet of colourful fishing boats in the port. The city is famous for its flavourful fish sauce which is a staple seasoning in Vietnamese cuisine.
Those looking for cultural enlightenment will find it in the Poshanu Cham Towers just east of the city, and in the school where Ho Chi Minh used to teach.
